Ingredients:
1 pound of fresh asparagus (medium thickness), trimmed
1/4 cup of water, plus extra as needed
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of ground pepper
1/3 cup of shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
1 tablespoon of balsamic glaze
Instructions:
1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add asparagus and water. Cover the pan quickly and steam until the asparagus can be easily pierced with a knife, about 3 to 5 minutes. Add more water if needed to prevent drying out.
2. Uncover and remove from heat. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the asparagus, then toss to coat. Transfer to a platter and sprinkle with cheese. Drizzle with balsamic glaze.
