Ingredients:

- 2 tablespoons of hot water

- 1 tablespoon of honey

- 6 fresh sage leaves, plus more for garnish

- 1/2 cup of pure tart cherry juice

- 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice

- Ice

- 3/4 cup of sparkling water

- Lime wedges for garnish (optional)

Directions:

1. In a cocktail shaker, stir hot water and honey together until the honey dissolves.

2. Add sage to the shaker and muddle with a muddler or the handle of a wooden spoon for about 30 seconds, until the leaves are slightly bruised and fragrant.

3. Add cherry juice and lime juice to the shaker.

4. Fill the shaker with ice and cover. Shake until the outside frosts and the drink is chilled, which should take about 15 seconds.

5. Strain the mixture into 2 ice-filled rocks glasses.

6. Top the glasses with sparkling water.

7. Garnish with sage leaves and/or lime wedges, if desired.
